A Grand Rapids man charged in the death of his wife testified n Kent County Circuit Court Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
Marcus Lofton, 43, is on trial i for his wife’s slaying nearly two years ago. He is charged with open murder and felony firearm.
The shooting happened the morning of Aug. 17, 2023, at the couple’s home at 1411 Union Ave. SE. Officers found Alicia Lofton dead on the ground next to the house.
“It happened so fast,” Lofton said on multiple occasions while being questioned by Kent County Assistant Prosecutor Angela Curtis.
