Описание: This was a quote from Victoria Wood as Bren in her comedy series "Dinner Ladies".

After a family visit, my Carer took me to Northwich where I grew up in mid-Cheshire for a bit of shopping. Although it's changed from the purpose built shopping precincts with indoor and outdoor markets of my youth, there were still places of interest.

I found it quite delightful crossing the River Weaver over 2 historic swing bridges with a view of narrowboats moored towards the town centre, where we parked for free and were able to spend a June afternoon appreciating the pavement café ambience.

Northwich is famous for its salt mines, ICI (Imperial Chemicals Industries where polythene was invented) and its traditional black and white timber framed buildings. Many have been beautifully renovated and the architecture gives the town character with independent shops surviving the recent pandemic or newly opened businesses.

Then I was able to point out all my favourite haunts as we drove back to Chester. I feel like a teen all over again!
