"Salamandra” is a poetic song drawn from Jewish midrash, sacred fire, and the quiet bravery I witness in others, and at times, discover within myself.

The legendary creature salamandra (סלמנדרה), according to the Talmud is born from fire and protected by it. The fire in this poem is not punishment—it is presence. Like the burning bush (הסנה הבוער) that called Moshe (משה), it burns but does not consume. It stands in the desert as a question, a calling, an orientation: Will you come closer? Will you listen?
