Properly implemented, home visiting reduces child abuse and low birthweight, increases school readiness, improves parents' economic self-sufficiency, and lowers crime. Evidence-based home visiting is offered through each of Maryland Family Network's 22 Family Support Centers.
In this brief clip, you'll meet Robin Mack, a Home Visitor from Family Partnership, MFN's Family Support Center in Frederick, MD. Robin will be conducting a home visit with Mellisa and her 14-month-old son Noah, who live with Mellisa's mother. You'll see how Robin is helping Mellisa feel confident about her parenting, identify family strengths, and create a plan to address their challenges.
