Neuf-Brisach is a fortified city in France built after the French lost the city of Brisach in the Peace of Ryswick treaties in 1697. The city, designed by Vauban (who made an appearance in our previous MAUSA video!), is an "Ideal City" octagon with a square grid layout on the inside. The outside is a series of fortifications consisting of an inner wall and expanding triangular fortifications further out. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and if you walk around the outside you'll run into some interesting art installations.
If anything, we recommend looking it up on satellite view so you can see just how cool it looks from above!
