The Somme then and now Part2

Описание: 100 ago G Mallins and J Mc Dowell exposed there film to light capturing a piece of the Battle of the Somme forever. The Somme and this film have became a life long interest to me...infact i have spent more than half my life visiting and studying the Hallowed Ground ... and watching the film...i started to find the places in the film many years ago..Minden post ..Mametz,, ect,, and have identified all but a handfull next year i will be going back with my second hand canon XHA1 camcorder i just purchased..my new pride and joy and will film them all in HD.I am thinking of writing a book called the Mallins tour..and the film will accompany the book it will include maps and a explanation of what you are looking at..and of course the then and now film ..about twenty five locations..please let me know if this would interest you so i can gauge if it is worth the time and expense this would involve...i will make my film anyway.. In my Army life and my civilian life i have travelled to many places North and South America.. Europe..India .. Nepal, up to Mnt Everest base camp and the borders of Tibet..beautiful as these places are ..my long suffering Wife knows i would swop any of that time for the same on the Somme...so please enjoy my film and remember them...sorry about the quality i will rectify this with my XHA1...The music is Ralph Vaughn Williams who served on the Somme in 1916..and of course bring him home from Les missrables
