PLOT:
Mateo is slowly realizing that he is falling in love with Elena during “Scepter of Light” while he saves her from Orizaba. They eventually go out on a date together after Elena’s coronation.
Elena can let go of the crown and her duties around him, knowing he will always be by her side.
Eventually, Elena proposes to Mateo, just to find out that he himself had a ring prepared for the same day. 😉
