"The ambition with this book was to give a visual summary of what the places of the Manhattan Project look like today and then extend the narrative to include how the project is presented to the public.

Except for the graphs in the beginning of the book, I have avoided getting in to the technical understanding on how to produce uranium and plutonium as well as how to build an atomic bomb. I have also avoided involving the effect of the atomic bombs over Nagasaki and Hiroshima. I think the horrors of those atomic bombs and the aftermath overshadows the more straight on photography in this book."
