WHAT IS STEPN?

Stepn is the first ever move to earn NFT game that has been launched.

Some of you may be aware of play to earn games like Axie which was hugely popular.

Initially, most people thought that would be the norm and there were many other play to earn games that launched after trying to follow in the success of Axie.

The NFT space moves fast though, and people are constantly innovating
Instead of playing games at home, Stepn literally lets you earn money for walking.

HOW DOES STEPN WORK?

First you’ll have to buy the shoe which is in the form of an NFT to participate. Then you can choose from different shoes that let you walk different speeds based on what you prefer.

You can do this on their app, which you will have to download to participate.

Everyday, you will get 2 energy per shoe which translates into 10 minutes of walking.

If you manage to stay within the speed range that your shoe allows, you’ll get their token Green Satoshi Token (GST) which you can then sell for Solana or USDC.

The way they know how fast you’re walking is by utilising your phones GPS function.

There are also a few different attributes to the shoe that will determine how much GST you can earn per day.

The more shoes you own, the more energy you will have meaning you can walk for longer periods and earn more GST.

IS STEPN SUSTAINABLE?

The short answer is, I have no idea.

This entire project depends on the price of GST so its very important that the price can be sustained.

The price of GST has really mooned recently which is of course good for us holders. But how can they maintain this price?

First of all, every time you go for a walk you’d have to pay some GST to repair your shoe, and this usually costs about 20% of your earnings.

You also have to pay GST to level up your shoe and get better stats, mint new shoes, and a few other stuff.

In my opinion, the current state won’t be super sustainable long long term and the team will have to figure out new utility for the token.

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH STEPN

I bought in about a week ago and got 2 shoes at 14.5 Solana each and currently I’m earning about $60 per shoe per day which is about RM240.

I know, this is a crazy amount of money when you think about it but my initial investment was about RM6.5k $1500 per shoe.

So earlier I said this may not be a super sustainable thing long term, but why did I buy in?.

Well if you do the math, I can actually get back my initial cost after around 27 days.

To be fair, when I bought the shoe it was a payback period of 40 days but because GST price went up, its now shorter.

However if you buy in now, the price of a shoe has gone up a bit as well so because the payback period was so short, I thought it was worth the gamble as the risk reward seemed pretty good to me.

In my opinion, its not a terrible time to start even if the price has gone up and I’ve got a few friends who have joined recently

HOW TO START EARNING WITH STEPN?

First, you’ll need some Solana. If you havent got any yet, you can buy it from Huobi 👉 https://themillennialfinance.com/huobi

Next, you’ll have to download the Stepn app that's available on both android and iOS.

From there, just transfer the Solana from your Huobi account to your wallet that you’ll have to create in Stepn.

If you dont know how to do this, we also have videos on how you can transfer crypto from exchanges to personal wallets.

Once you get the Solana in, just choose a shoe that you like and buy it off their marketplace.

From here, just make sure you start walking everyday so you can get your money flowing in to cover your cost as quickly as possible. Everything after that will be just a bonus to you.

FINAL THOUGHTS ON STEPN

Yhe world of NFT’s have gotten very interesting and Stepn is an innovative product in the market.

The only reason I felt so comfortable entering was because I'm already familiar with how NFTs work.
