We walked the Cuckmere Valley from 'High & Over' Car Park, to The Cuckmere Inn, Coastguard Cottages, Cuckmere Haven Beach, the Litlington White Horse, The Plough & Harrow and back to the car park. Then some drinks at Rathfinny Wine Estate and back to Alfriston Camping Park for a BBQ.
The Coastguard Cottages and Seven Sisters are one of the most photographed views in England and recently appeared in Netflix's sci-fi series Three Body Problem. However the seafront property with balcony seen in Three Body Problem does not exist as you will see. It looks like something from Malibu beach as opposed to Southern England, I don't know why the real view wasn't good enough.
This view and the coastguard cottages are also seen in the Idris Elba BBC drama Luther. I believe the Coastguard Cottages at Cuckmere Haven is where Luther tries to drink himself to death after murdering a paedophile.
