Описание: On 7th April we hosted our Bob Talks 2025 event at Wrexham University!

During the event we heard 6 TEDx-style talks from schools and community groups across North Wales, all on the theme of Belonging.

The talks ranged in topic from how it feels to belong as a teenager in Wales, the power of music in feeling a sense of belonging, the importance of connecting with communities to develop a sense of belonging, and many more!

It was a powerful day, with lots of inspirational and impactful talks from all of the brilliant young people involved. There was also some important asks for those in the audience and beyond to make changes to support more young people in feeling a sense of belonging across the region, the country and the world!

Ysgol Heulfan- ‘Belonging in School’ In this heartfelt speech, we want to highlight the importance of fostering a school environment which creates a sense of belonging. Over the years, at Ysgol Heulfan, we have welcomed many new faces (mid-term)—children who, at first, felt nervous, anxious, and shy. But with open arms and compassionate hearts, our school community embraced them. Through kindness and understanding, these children found their place, their confidence grew, and they became an integral part of our vibrant school family. We want to share that, every school could make a difference to newcomers, if each individual feels valued and supported from the minute they step into their new school.
