This video is PART THREE of this three part series on how to make a custom personalized baby blanket. In this tutorial I will be finishing the baby blanket by sewing it together!

In PART ONE I sublimated white Minky fabric with a personalized name, monogram and clipart and in PART TWO I embroidered the name onto Minky Dot Fabric.

Sewing Instructions:
Place fabric right sides together
Pin leaving a slight border of minky dot fabric on edges for slippage
Leave a six inch opening for turning (I do the top opposite the embroidery)
Sew pieces together using coordinating thread colors (I use 1/2 inch seam allowance)
Leaving a gap where you will turn
Take pins out
***Trim excess minky fabric leaving a little extra trapezoid on top of gap section (I forgot to mention that in the video!!)***
Turn right sides out
Flatten and make sure corners are pulled out
Pin again!
Topstitch ( I use 1/2 inch seam allowance, you can use 1/4 inch also)
Turn excess fabric in gap section in and sew it flush
Trim any strings and you are done!!!!
