Today is Day 13 and Tara is having Isan cuisine from LayLao, a Northeastern Thai and Laoatian restaurant here in Bangkok. She’s having a tray of green papaya salad with fermented fish sauce, boiled egg, boiled Vietnamese sausage, rice vermicelli, crispy pork skin, and vegetables (ตำถาดปูปลาร้า). To go with that she’s digging into spicy minced chicken salad (ลาบไก่), charcoal grilled pork shoulder (คอหมูย่าง), Isan sausages (ไส้กรอกอีสาน), and sticky rice (ข้าวเหนียว).
