The Batman 2 has been in development hell, and I'm reaching the point where I think they may just need to pull the plug. I loved The Batman and I loved The Penguin series even more. But with the DCU's new Batman on the way, and all of these delays and unsureness behind Matt Reeves staying involved, it may be time to leave well enough alone.
I mean damn, the first one was plagued by the drama of the Snyder-Verse/DCEU, and the return of Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton's Batmen. And now the sequel will have to compete with the James Gunn DCU and a brand new Batman. Add all of that to the apparent behind the scenes drama on getting this sequel off the ground, and the likelihood of this trilogy being completed just seems to get smaller and smaller.
