When we were staying in Sandakan on Borneo, I noticed a water village (slum) next to our apartment block. I was really curious to see how people live there so I decided to visit the area.
Before I visited I didn't do any research about the area so I wasn't sure if it was safe or not.
Once I had been there for some time locals started to warn me about being there and advised me to leave the area as soon as possible since it was not safe for me there. Despite that I decided to walk a little bit more around since I felt quite safe.
I spent maybe a total of two hours in the neighborhood and it was sad to see the living conditions of most people there. In the video you will see how people treated me.
