Woman Arrested After Snorting in a McDonald’s Bathroom

Описание: Around 6:39 PM on November 29, 2024, officers with the Mount Laurel Police Department were called to the McDonald’s at 1108 NJ-73 on a report of a female who was engaging in suspicious activities inside the women’s bathroom. Officer Ryan Bergeson arrived on scene around 6:47 PM and was led to the women’s bathroom by an employee. The employee told Officer Bergeson that when she walked inside the bathroom, she observed a woman appearing to snort something suspicious. When she told the woman to leave, the woman refused to comply and the police were called as a result.

Officer Bergeson walked over to the women’s restroom and knocked on the door. The woman inside, later identified as Krystal Waz, opened the door and exited the restroom. Officer Bergeson escorted Krystal towards the vestibule and she consented to a search of her purse. A search of her purse revealed an empty wax fold, indicating that she had been engaging in illicit activities inside the restroom.

Additional officers arrived on scene shortly afterwards, and Krystal was informed that she was being detained and placed in handcuffs. After his Sergeant arrived on scene and the officers ran her information through the system, it was determined that she would be placed under arrest. Officer Bergeson subsequently transported Krystal to the Mount Laurel Police Department for further processing. She was charged with possession under 2C:36-2A.

Court records indicate that Krystal was previously arrested for prostitution and possession in Ocean Township, New Jersey on April 26, 2017.
