"NATIVITY MEDLEY"

When Joseph went to Bethlehem, I think he took great care to place his tools and close his shop and leave the shavings there. He urged the donkey forward then with Mary on its back. They carried bread and goat cheese in a little linen sack.

Lullaby, lullaby, a mother and a Babe; Lullaby, we hear her sing. Lullaby, lullaby, a mother's tender voice; Lullaby, for a King!

In a crib, in a stall, a baby softly cries; In a place that's bright and still. In Bethlehem, in the night a baby boy was born In a manger on a hill.

(SIMULTANEOUSLY):

(Soprano and Alto): "Peace on the earth, good will to men", sing the angels while the shepherds tend. In Bethlehem, in the night, a baby boy is born in a manger on a hill. I think there at the busy inn, that he was meek and mild and awed to be the guardian of Mary's sacred Child. Perhaps all through the chilly hours he smoothed the swaddling bands, and Jesus felt the quiet strength of Joseph's gentle hands.
(Tenor and Bass): "Peace on the earth, good will to men", Angels sing while shepherds tend. In a manger on a hill. The first Noel the angels did say was to certain poor shepherds in fields where they lay, In fields where lay keeping their sheep, on a cold winter's night that was so deep.
