I think it will be very useful to have little cheap computers talk to each other and LoRa ticks a lot of boxes (with constraints)

For this demonstration I used a Reyax RYL895 connected to my Laptop via a SiLabs CP2102 TTL UART Convertor. I did need to install a driver for this.

On my Radxa X4 I had to use a FTDI FT232RL USB to TTL Serial Converter instead. I didn't need any drivers for this, but I did need to dig out a USB Mini-B lead!

Apart from that it all worked lovely.

I got the radio module from Amazon, but they are all over AliExpress. I paid about $20.
The UARTs were about $5 each and I also got them from Amazon. I would only buy the FT232RL if I knew today what I know now.
