🧾 INGREDIENTS
• Beef – 500 g (medium pieces)
• Coconut oil – 3 tbsp
• Onion – 3 (thinly sliced)
• Ginger – 1 tbsp (crushed)
• Garlic – 1 tbsp (crushed)
• Green chillies – 2 (slit)
• Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
• Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
• Coriander powder – 2 tsp
• Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
• Garam masala – 1 tsp
• Fennel powder – ½ tsp
• Tomato – 3 small
• Thin coconut milk or – 1½ cups
• Thick coconut milk – ½ cup
• Salt – to taste
For Tempering (Optional but Recommended)
• Coconut oil – 1 tbsp
• Shallots – 5 (sliced)
• Curry leaves – few

👩🍳 METHOD
1. Heat coconut oil in a pressure cooker or deep pan.
2. Add curry leaves, sliced onions, green chillies, ginger, and garlic. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.
3. Add turmeric powder, add tomato , sautewell
Make of paste of chilli powder, coriander powder or seeds ,pepper powder, fennel powder, and garam masala. Mix well on low flame.
4. Add beef pieces and salt. Mix until the beef is well coated with spices.
5. Add thin coconut milk or water.
6. Cover and cook until beef becomes soft and tender (pressure cook for 5–6 whistles or slow cook until done).
7. Once cooked, add thick coconut milk and simmer for 5 minutes on low flame. Do not boil.
8. Optional tempering: Heat coconut oil, fry shallots and curry leaves, and pour over the curry.
9. Turn off heat and rest for a few minutes before serving.

Serve hot with Kerala porotta, appam, idiyappam, chapati, or steamed rice 😍
