Instead, WWE has intentionally pulled him from television as part of a long-term plan to preserve his momentum and reintroduce him at the right moment.

Meanwhile, more clarity has emerged regarding the abrupt stoppage of Je’Von Evans’ match on WWE Monday Night RAW. Evans’ bout against El Grande Americano was halted suddenly, with WWE medical staff escorting him backstage, immediately raising concerns about a serious injury.
Initial fears centered around a possible shoulder or arm injury, but PWInsider later confirmed that the real concern was a potential concussion. On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez explained that the injury stemmed from a mistimed apron sequence that resulted in an accidental head-butt.
Despite taking the brunt of the collision, Evans continued wrestling briefly before the match was ultimately stopped during the commercial break. Dave Meltzer added that the call to end the match likely came from backstage, with WWE’s medical team monitoring the situation closely.
Both PWInsider and Wrestling Observer Live later reported that Evans was evaluated for a concussion and cleared to leave Belfast with the rest of the roster—an encouraging sign that the injury is not believed to be serious. Given that Evans is only 21 years old and just beginning his main roster run, WWE’s cautious approach appears to have been preventative rather than reactionary.

Elsewhere, frustration continues to build behind the scenes in All Elite Wrestling following Trey Miguel’s abrupt release. According to Fightful Select, several AEW talents were unhappy with how Miguel’s situation was handled, particularly after learning the decision reportedly came from above—rather than Tony Khan, AEW creative, or the locker room.
The situation has fueled talk of double standards, with some talent pointing out that other personalities affiliated with Warner Bros. Discovery have made far more controversial public comments without facing similar consequences. Miguel’s quiet release, combined with the lack of transparency, has only added to the frustration.
