For our final project in ENME441, our goal was to build a web-enabled laser turret that could shoot various targets in an arena built for the project. The project was a competition amongst the other groups in the class. There were two different competitions. The first was a test to see who could hit the most targets in the arena as possible in one run. The second was a test of how quickly and accurately the turrets could hit four selected targets.
We used a Raspberry Pi to program, in Python, different motors and a laser to turn the laser around, point at a given target location, and hit the target with the laser. The turret was entirely controlled from a webpage user interface that we developed as a group.
This video is a quick demonstration of the project, not the test runs. The turret hits just below the first target and misses the third, however, it hits the second and fourth targets. Times were not available due to time constraints of the project and due to most groups failing to hit enough targets for time to be a factor our professor cared about.
Results:
Total targets hit: 11/13, 1st place
Quick targets hit: 4/4, time unknown, 1st place
Повторяем попытку...
