Описание: Cafe Racer Dreams’ latest creation, number 132, has an urban, “brat” style that originated in Japan some decades ago. These bikes generally have a less radical ride position and the handlebars of this BMW R 100 RS give the rider an upright position on the long, comfortable two-up seat finished in 4.5 mm cowhide. The tank pads are also in cowhide, and both seat and pads match the Biltwell grips.

On the road, this machine has a striking aesthetic, with the gas tank painted in the shade of blue used on the BMW M5 and a stylish colour contrast on the plate holders. These bear the number 77, a lucky number in many countries, on an orange background and are mounted with quick fittings that are totally unnoticed when dismounted.

The front end adds lots of personality with distinctive features such as the 19” headlight mounted on customised supports, the high quality 43 mm inverted Showa forks with 4-piston radial callipers. Of special note are the handcrafted, brushed aluminium fenders and Supertrapp pipes also with brushed silencers. This make of exhaust pipes will strike an emotional chord with those familiar with these from four decades ago with the same classic design with removeable bafflers to change the sound and performance of the bike. This is a nod to earlier days since these motorcycles combine the classic with a lighter, bobber look. Another curious detail is the side-mounted auxiliary headlight, originally included in these BMW’s to be put up front.

As always, to upgrade the drive CRD incorporated a number of top quality elements, including the custom machined yoke in Alzintok 75 aluminium with a Cerakote finish to secure the Renthal Low handlebars to the turrets that give it a higher position. The 132 is also fitted with rear views with a classic design and the relaxed ride position allows the bike to be handled easily in the city and without fatigue on longer highway journeys.

The 980 cc boxer motor has been given a powder finish in black that matches the rims and giving the entire mid and lower part of this machine, including the Hagon shock absorbers, a sober look that only highlights the other elements on the body. Following the “brat” aesthetic, a larger 120/70 front tire gives added emphasis to the front end. We also indulged in a set of studded Continental TKC 80 tires to give an added personal touch to the #132. Some 40 years after leaving the assembly line this RS is back on the city streets with a new life and a unique new style from CRD.
