Here's "Wizardry Mind", the second tune that I did out of Anup's studio for CT. The former was a walk in the park compared to this! Plini ( / plini ) from Halcyon takes another guest solo from 0:21 - 1:01.
I thought the piece would benefit from a quicker china sound, so I decided to use my 16" ALT. However, towards the end I switched to my usual 19" custom LTD (thus the punch-in at 4:53) for the big half-note whacks for the reprise groove from 0:41.
I love this song. It sounds like the future.
Notes:
1:52 - 1:53, 2:32 - 2:33, 3:18 - 3:19 - loosen hats a bit
4:47 - 4:54 - some rather unorthodox orchestrations
5:48 - 6:19 - randomly complementing the melodies while changing/building the groove
