Political banners are like pop-up ads. They don't like them except it's something they support. The whole point of a politician's face being plastered into banners to be put on the street is a strategy that makes potential voters become more aware of their candidacy and may take a chance into voting for them. In the Philippines, it has become more of a "respected" tactic into a messy sense of decor. Essentially max p2w politics.

Political banners or political awareness posts have stirred controversies in the past, such as trying to steal the spotlight from events to asserting credit over miscellaneous deeds to even using recent people's passing or tragedies as their way to promote themselves. Going as far as promoting themselves to preschoolers, social-media users, and even spending billions upon billions for advertising when their net-salary for their position would leave them on debt, so what's the big deal with politicians trying to become the next celebrity in the government?
