Описание: Military officials of India and Pakistan are expected to hold talks today to discuss the next steps following a recent ceasefire between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.

According to a report by Reuters, India’s foreign ministry announced on Saturday that the director generals of military operations from both countries would speak over the phone on Monday at 12pm Indian time, which is 11:30am Pakistan time.

However, the Indian army later told Reuters that the talks had been delayed and would now take place in the evening. The conversation was initially scheduled to occur in the morning. As of now, Pakistan has not immediately responded to Reuters’ request for comment on the talks.
This conversation between the military leadership of both sides comes after four days of heightened military confrontation, which concluded with a ceasefire over the weekend.
