Should we add loads of details to try and make a drawing look more realistic? This is something I am asked often but there is so much more to achieving realism than just the details. Graphite is a wonderful medium for helping us develop our overall drawing & painting skills and projects like this are a crucial part of my art schedule for refining my pencil technique which is invaluable for larger, more complex drawings.
