I'm back again with a HMG Turret (HMG = heavy machine gun) demo, which I haven't used since early on in the game. With all the recent nerfs and buffs I wanted to see if my feelings towards the HMG Turret had changed.
After 140 hours of gameplay I can tell you I 100% prefer this turret in Terminid missions. You are too exposed in an Automaton mission to use this stratagem. I also find it useful in those situations in which I am defending a point with a known lane of fire; otherwise, you are a sitting duck. Also imagine your field of fire when you call down this stratagem, and your exit points. As you can see in this video I disengage from the turret to use my Quasar Cannon.
