Out on the hunt with my trusty sidekick Sleuth, we uncovered this beautifully preserved 2014 Breedlove Studio Concert CE — and it immediately checked all the boxes for a true Closet Classic.

This guitar wasn’t dragged from gig to gig or left in harsh conditions. It was owned by someone who appreciated quality, played it respectfully, and stored it properly. The result? A guitar that feels played in, dialed in, and genuinely better than new.

Tonally, this guitar is clean and balanced, with excellent note separation for fingerstyle and a focused, controlled response for light-to-medium strumming. It records well, sits nicely in a mix, and sounds exactly like a mature, well-cared-for instrument should.
