Описание: The Thursday after July 4th of this year I decided to make another trip to Indianapolis, one year after my first trip. This is the only Republic truck I filmed, and while it is pretty standard for them and nothing special, I'm still glad I got to film it. The thing that is interesting about Indy is it is the last major US city to have never had a city wide curbside recycling program. It is subscription only, as in you have to pay extra, so many households don't bother. Republic does about a third of the residential routes in the city/county, and most of the rest is in house with city trucks, and a small portion is collected by WM. Another thing that is cool about Indy is the city proper is massive geographically speaking. This is because the city and county merged into one entity in I think the 70s and the city basically annexed all of the unincorporated land in the entire county at that time. This was actually filmed in a subdivision basically on the eastern county line. Since the city has a bunch of empty land still, a lot of it is being developed at a rather quick rate, and the vast majority is being turned into more subdivisions of single family homes like this. Anyway, hope you enjoy. I'm certainly enjoying my own footage. However, I want to apologize for bad camera work on a few clips. I was sitting on my bike in very awkward positions while filming this because I would get ahead of the truck and immediately want to hit record which meant not getting off my bike first.
