Описание: Particle sizing includes both how to represent particle size distributions and some basic methods of obtaining a size distribution. This video is a cut-down version of what was delivered at a university in the UK. It is an introductory session on the topic and covers how different distributions can be achieved, for the same material, simply by looking for different parameters such as area or mass of the material. The importance of accepting these differences and knowing how to work with them is explained, so that we can successfully engineer processes containing particles. Reference is made to a freely available book to support the video, Chapter 2 of Fundamentals of Particle Technology. If you are interested in the subject, please do try the multiple choice problems at the end of that chapter - you will understand particle sizing much better if you do.
