Sight vs. Vision

We see through our eyes and not with our eyes
Most humans are trichromatic, which means our eyes have three different types of cone cells: red, green or blue, able to detect about 100 shades each. In combination, our cones allow us to see about a million different colors.
If eyesight refers to how well the eyes capture images, vision refers to how the brain processes the information coming from the eyes. Vision is the ability to process what we see in order to understand and act on that information.
Sight brings us the information and vision interprets it.
Sight is the lens of the eyes and vision is the lens of the brain
