Why you should get the RED Komodo (or should you?)

Описание: I have had the RED Komodo since August 2020 (one of the lucky firsts) and here is a quick overview after using it in multiple different case scenarios.

I really like this camera, especially when paired up with the RED Gemini but I want to clarify that this might not be the right tool for everyone.
Also, this is not a scientific/technical review but just my humble experience as a filmmaker running a small video production company in Australia.

Keep in mind that storytelling will always be more important than any piece of equipment. Camera gear is a matter of personal preferences so I would always recommend going with the tools that suit best your needs and that allow the path of least friction to your creativity!

I'll be following up this video with another one comparing the Komodo and the Sony A7s3 side by side. Just for fun :)

Fun fact, the thumbnail picture is the very first shot I took of my Stormtrooper. The courier literally just delivered the camera and I only had a few minutes to unbox it, plug in the power cable to get a few % of battery, and ran to the beach to film the sunset :)
