No matter what you have in this life , if Christ Jesus is not above it, you don’t have anything. Because whatever is above you is your Lord.

The kingdoms of this world are driven, motivated and build on the desire for money, materialism and greed. The practice of capitalism has proven over time that it doesn’t work. Because capitalism automatically produces poverty. Why? Because somebody got to be the consumer and the other the producer. The dilemma in the world is that we have about 3% producers and 97% consumers. This means 3% of the world’s population has all the money; the 97% just don’t have any hope of getting any. That is capitalism. You capitalize on the weak to make the rich strong. The wisdom or theology of Jesus decoded is the driving force of every man in life and destiny.

In Luke 16:13 Jesus unpack the global modus operando saying,
“No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

Every man according to Jesus is a servant. And in the test of loyalty, service to two masters is not an option. Who or what is a master, you may ask? A master is someone/something that control or runs your life, tells you what to do and when to do it, it literally own you.

Jesus reduce and categorize all services on earth under the control of two masters. All men are either serving one or the other, whether Democrat or Republican, rich or poor, married or single, born again Christian, or an un-believer. You are either controlled by God or money (mammon).

We’ve been taught in religious circles that the Devil is dangerous and that he is the enemy. We’ve been brain wash to believe that it is Satan who wants to master you, Jesus disagrees. He said there are two masters on earth that controls men, and he never mention the Devil. There is something more dangerous than the devil and that is MONEY.

According to Jesus, the economy of this world runs on MONEY and GOD! My question to you is: WHAT GETS YOU UP EVERY MORNING? “I couldn’t do my quiet time, or spend time praying when I woke up because I had to run off to work,” you may say. I ask: WHO IS YOUR MASTER? GOD or MONEY? The Bible never said, Satan is the root of all evil. The Devil is a joke compared to Money. Not money, but the love of money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Interesting, the scripture did not say “the FRUIT of all evil, but the ROOT.” There are two pursuit of all men according to Jesus: to pursue money or service to God. It is a curse to spend your lifetime chasing money. God is not against you having money, He’s against you serving it. If you can forget about money and focus on serving God, money will chase you:

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you”(Matthew 6:33).

Because most people in religious circles don’t understand the place of money in the worship of God, they get very uncomfortable when money is the subject of discussion. There is nothing that seek and contends for worship in a man’s life than mammon. Mammon is not money—It is the spirit of deceitful riches that keep us in the prison of lies. It the worship of materialism. Money is defined as a medium of exchange. It is a tool, neither good nor bad. It simply takes on the spirit of whoever is in control of it. Money is a defense (Eccl. 7:12) and it answereth all things (Eccl. 10:19). It is an enhancer; it amplifies and bring out your true character, nature, attitude and passion.

Nothing test a man’s true nature than money. If you want to know whether a man is truly humble or proud, just give him money. You cannot tell me you are holy, when you are broke. The means to tempt you to sin is not there. There are some people in life they are so poor that they can’t afford sin, so they say they are holy. Every poor man cannot afford sin. Quitting been an acholic just because you lack money is not purity, when you have money and can say “NO” to the bottle, now I know you mean business.

Mammon refers to the desire to pursue riches and materialism as the primary goal in life. Mammon/materialism seek your worship, but kingdom finances seek your service. Genesis 13:2 tells us that, “Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.” Meaning he possessed money, not vice versa. I say it again, “God is not against you having money, He’s against money having you.

The purpose and dominion of Kingdom finances is:

1. For you to live comfortably as a child of God—God is not glorified in your poverty.
2. To advance the course of the kingdom and its agenda in the earth—though the Gospel is free, the means of evangelizing it, is not.
3. To reveal the love of God in a practical way to a dying world—to help the poor, feed the hungry and cloth the naked.
