A patient has been found dead inside the Swanston Centre, the acute mental health ward at University Hospital Geelong, with homicide detectives investigating the death. Another inpatient has been placed under police guard following a suspected altercation between the two men. Barwon Health has described the death as unexpected and extended condolences to the victim's family.
