ओडिशा सरकार ने 1991 बैच की आईएएस अधिकारी अनु गर्ग को नया मुख्य सचिव नियुक्त किया है. वह इस पद पर पहुंचने वाली राज्य की पहली महिला हैं. वह मौजूदा मुख्य सचिव मनोज आहूजा की जगह लेंगी जो 31 दिसंबर को रिटायर हो रहे हैं. अनु गर्ग का कार्यकाल मार्च 2029 तक रहेगा.

देहरादून में हुई राज्य कैबिनेट की बैठक में जनहित से जुड़े कुल 11 महत्वपूर्ण प्रस्तावों को मंजूरी दी गई. बैठक में सबसे बड़ा फैसला सीएनजी और पीएनजी गैस पर वैट घटाने को लेकर लिया गया, जिससे आम लोगों को सीधी राहत मिलेगी. इसके साथ ही स्वास्थ्य, चिकित्सा शिक्षा, संस्कृति और कर्मचारियों से जुड़े कई अहम निर्णय भी लिए गए.
