The Tassie Traverse is a new 955km bikepacking route that threads its way through some of the best places you can reach by bike in lutruwita/Tasmania. From rugged coastlines and iconic gravel climbs to forested roads and vibrant mountain biking towns, this ride shows off some of the best of Tasmania.
Over six days in January, I explored the northern and eastern stretches of the route, passing through places like Ben Lomond, Derby, the larapuna/Bay of Fires, Freycinet National Park, and many other stunning spots along the way.
