The New South Wales government's flagship road and highway infrastructure project has been caught up in controversy these past few days as the newly opened (and very expensive) Rozelle Interchange has plunged much of the inner west into a traffic nightmare. But how did this project go so wrong? And would the money spent building this have been better spent on other types of projects like trams, light rails, buses trains, metros, bicycle lanes etc...
