Sequel to the TS2018 video of NJ Transit Ride Bay Head to New York, this video is about riding NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line from New York to Bay Head on Train No. 3267/4367 on Train Simulator 2018. The first part, which is 3267, is the electric service from New York to Long Branch. The second part, which is 4367, is the diesel shuttle service from Long Branch to Bay Head, the continuation of the journey. This schedule on this Train Simulator 2018 video is based on the real life schedule on this line.
The journey begins as an electric service from New York to Long Branch as Train 3267 consisted of eight Multi-Level cars. Multi-Level II cab car 7060 leads the train with ALP-45DP locomotive 4512 providing the pushing power. After the train terminates at Long Branch, the train reverses a bit then proceeds forward to the siding and sits and waits to make a service back to New York. Then the diesel-shuttle train pulls into the station after switching junctions from Track 1 to Track 2 after making a service from Bay Head to Long Branch, turning into Train 4367 for the continuation down to Bay Head. F40PH-2CAT locomotive 4124 pulls the set of six Comet IV/V cars, with Comet V cab car 6020 trailing. After the train makes its final destination at Bay Head, it proceeds into the Bay Head train yard and waits for another service back to Long Branch.
Normally an ALP-46 locomotive pushes/pulls an eight-car Multi-Level set between New York and Long Branch. However, the ALP-46 causes too much severe lag with these Multi-Level coaches throughout the entire ride, and not even constant camera view switching would help fix it. Therefore, an ALP-45DP had to take over providing the pushing power to avoid these types of issues in this case. The ALP-46 locomotive most likely won't cause any lag while driving a train if its pushing or pulling a Comet set. Lagging caused by an ALP-46 locomotive pushing and/or pulling a Multi-Level set mostly happens on the North Jersey Coast Line, but does not happen on the Northeast Corridor Line and the Morristown Line.
