What the heck is Scorching Gel?

Hi Friends! Awhile back I found something called a Scorch Marker that supposedly will burn wood with just a heat gun. Then I found something called Wood Burning Gel that says it does the same thing. I completely forgot about them for awhile, until NOW! I'm digging them out and seeing if I can find a safer way to make wood-burned projects.
