As of October 29, Shop App storefronts are now indexable by default on Google and other search engines. Sounds good for visibility, until you realize those URLs can compete against your main site for the same keywords.

Or worse, if they use the same content, it could count as duplicate content and drag down your rankings.

It's early days, and Shopify will likely fine-tune the rollout, but if you want to prevent indexing, you can turn it off. Just go to Shopify Admin, open the Shop sales channel, and find the search engine indexing toggle for the Shop storefront.
