In some cases, you may need to add supports to your deck to handle this extra weight burden. (In most cases, this is unnecessary with RTA islands.) But if that’s all set… Then you’ll also have to stub up utilities for your appliances. If you plan on having electric or natural gas appliances… You’ll need to hook up utilities for it. It’s ideal if you can do this before the deck is even built. However, this can still be done without too much hassle.
