This story is about Anatoly Moskvin, a Russian linguist, philologist, and historian, was arrested in 2011 after the mummified bodies of 29 girls and young women were discovered in his apartment in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. Moskvin had stolen the bodies from local graves, preserved them using a homemade solution of salt and baking soda, and decorated them to look like life-size dolls.

He would dress the corpses in various clothing, including knee-length boots and frilly dresses, and sometimes add makeup to their faces. Moskvin also inserted buttons or toy eyes into the girls' eye sockets so they could "watch cartoons" with him. He claimed he was lonely and wanted a daughter, but was rejected for adoption due to his low income.

Moskvin's parents, who lived with him, were unaware that the "dolls" were actually dead bodies. They thought it was his hobby to make large dolls. The discovery shocked the community, and Moskvin was charged with desecrating graves and bodies .

In court, Moskvin confessed to his crimes and refused to apologize to the parents, saying, "You abandoned your girls, I brought them home and warmed them up." He was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and remanded to a psychiatric hospital.
