Описание: A serious allegation was raised against former minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy by a small farmer during a public meeting in front of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The incident happened in Kothaburuzu village of Don mandal in Nandyal district during the “Mee Bhoomi – Mee Hakku” (Your Land – Your Right) Gram Sabha. A farmer named Polem Ramachandra said that 4.5 acres of land belonging to his family for more than 110 years was illegally occupied. He claimed that the land was taken away using political power during the previous government. The farmer explained that he tried many times to get justice. He met the District Collector six times and the Tahsildar 32 times, but no official helped him. He also said that when he tried to enter his own land, a police officer filed false cases against him and his son. He told the Chief Minister that even when he complained to the police, no action was taken. After hearing the farmer’s complaint, Chandrababu Naidu became serious and questioned the local Revenue Divisional Officer. The Chief Minister warned officials that land grabbing will not be tolerated. He said strict action will be taken against anyone who illegally occupies others’ land and justice will be given to affected farmers.
