Explore: Find your pulling leg
This exercise will help you to connect with the feeling of pulling in with your leg.
1) Standing on the ground, bring one foot in front of you.
2) On the front foot, push down on your pivot point and bring it towards your other foot. This step helps you to realise what the pulling action is in an open-chain format, which is a simpler context.
3) Now let’s try it in a closed-chain context, which is what happens when we’re climbing. Bring the same foot forward again. This time, pull in as you did in Step 2 while keeping your front foot on the same spot. This should pull your hips towards your front foot.
