Planning for the 1944 Allied invasion of Nazi-occupied France took months. The plan included a massive deception campaign to confuse the German defenders. The logistics were overwhelming. The Allies needed 150,000 men across the English Channel to attack the German-held beaches.
The invasion could have failed if any part of this plan leaked. How did the Allies pull off such a complicated attack?
