Mr Marais has been instrumental in various aspects of school life at RGJS,
particularly in diversifying the music department and its offerings over the years. In recent years, he has also spearheaded our Student Teacher Programme to enhance the experience of our country’s future teachers. Not only has he been a valuable member of the school community, but he has also played a significant role in promoting the Creative Arts locally, nationally and globally.
His numerous achievements and awards, most recently from the South African Council of Educators (SACE) are a testament to someone who lives with passion and purpose.
