🇹🇴 Farewell Parade Honours Superintendent Saimone Fifita for Distinguished Service to Tonga Police

Описание: Tonga Police held a ceremonial farewell parade on the 1st August 2025 to honour the retirement of Superintendent Saimone Fifita, commemorating over 40 years of exemplary service to the Kingdom of Tonga. The event was attended by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Tupoutoʻa ʻUlukalala, the Honourable Minister of Police Paula Piveni Piukala, members of the Tonga Police Executive, dignitaries, family members, and colleagues, an esteemed gathering that reflected the deep respect and high regard in which Superintendent Fifita is held.

Superintendent Fifita began his policing career on 1 July 1985 as a Probationary Constable in Recruit Wing 18. Rising through the ranks over the decades, he became the last member of his recruit wing to retire, serving most recently as District Commander of Police District 2. His diverse career saw him hold key leadership roles across the Criminal Investigation Division, Police Mobile Unit, Prosecutions, the Tonga Police College, and various strategic departments.

Renowned for his discipline, integrity, and mentorship, Superintendent Fifita was instrumental in shaping future generations of officers particularly through his respected role as a drill master. His dedication to professional development saw him complete advanced law enforcement training in criminal investigations, digital forensics, instructor development, and leadership across regional and international institutions in Fiji, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Australia, and the United States.

Commissioner of Police Geoff Turner paid tribute to his outstanding career, stating:
