NYU Associate Professor Mohamad Bazzi says there's a lot of "excitement" as Zohran Mamdani takes office as New York City Mayor.
“You can see that in the number of people who went out in extreme cold, yesterday on January 1, for the inauguration,” Mr Bazzi told Sky News Australia.
“City hall was mobbed … a lot of excitement over his affordability agenda.”
