Kamal maula Mosque was built by Ainul Mulk Multani a great general of Alauddin Khilji either in the late 13th century or very early in the 14th century.
The Kamal-al-Din Mosque complex in Dhar consists of a congregational mosque and the tomb of the Chishti saint Kamal-al-Din Malawi. Historical and epigraphic evidence associates the site with Islamic religious activity dating back to the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Inscriptions found within the complex and nearby record that the mosques of Dhar were repaired by Dilawar Khan in 1392–93 CE, indicating that the mosque was already in existence before that date. Architectural analysis identifies the structure as one of the earliest Jama Masjids of Dhar, likely constructed during the first half of the fourteenth century when the region was under the Delhi Sultanate. Importantly, no contemporary inscription, historical chronicle, or archaeological evidence from the period records the existence of a Hindu temple at the site of the mosque. The available evidence instead points to a long and continuous history of the complex as an Islamic religious institution.
