She won accolades and platinum discs, drawing in millions of young female fans who wanted to be just like her.

Then the allegations started to surface: that Gloria was procuring underage girls for her manager and producer, Sergio Andrade, to sexually abuse. Drawn by her fame and the promise of becoming backing singers in her group, a number of girls from poor backgrounds aged between 12 and 14 went to live with Trevi and Andrade for several years. Eight of them became pregnant and had children by him; a number of them claimed to have been tortured both physically and mentally in what they described as a cult. Gloria Trevi, Sergio Andrade and another woman were arrested and tried in one of the biggest cases in rock history.

Featuring interviews with Trevi and Andrade when in detention in Brazil prior to facing charges in Mexico, this documentary explores the questions that Trevi's fans, the Latin American public and the Mexican judicial system were forced to ask: to what extent was Trevi an abuser, and to what extent was she herself abused?
